Curiosity And The Cat is proud to have been a retailer at Gorgeous Gerties since the end of February 2015. Gorgeous Gerties is a delicious tea rooms, vintage emporium and does spectacular creative workshops.
It’s located on Dorking’s bustling West Street, an antique and vintage enthusiasts heaven. It is owned by two best friends, Tracey and Debbie, who are the life and soul of Gorgeous Gerties and emit huge rays of sunshine wherever they are. Their positivity and enthusiasm is infectious so it’s a privilege to be one of Gorgeous Gerties retailers.
On Saturday Gorgeous Gerties celebrated it’s 2nd birthday so I brought my family along to help them celebrate! I told the story of the day by tweet, so I will keep this short and sweet, and describe the day using the tweets below… Read More
I will keep this short as it’s Saturday night but I can’t contain my excitement any longer…
Out of the blue, I was contacted by The World of Interiors magazine, for the May 2015 issue, and voilà –
Curiosity And The Cat is featured in the DESIGN REPORT!
It has been out for a month so if you have a copy of this glossy interior design bible,
have a flick through to p.266 for a closer look.

Since I started Curiosity And The Cat last September, I’ve poured my heart and soul into creating lively vintage furniture one-offs, hand painted signs for people with a sense of humour and style, delicious vintage teacup candles and sourcing original curiosities with personality. I’ve found the process even more rewarding than I thought I would. It’s so special knowing that the creations have ended up being enjoyed by customers and friends far and wide.
This is a little THANK YOU to all those magical people who have spent their precious time sharing how they feel about Curiosity And The Cat’s unique creations.
I’ve just created a new collection of vibrant, playful hand-painted signs. Perfect for brightening up the home in a cheeky way. The signs went down a storm with local friends and relatives who saw them in the studio and happily put in orders for Christmas presents.
The crisp night air was buzzing with festive cheer as I entered Binton Hall to set up the Curiosity and the Cat stall for the ‘Christmas Shopping in aid of Over The Moon Charity‘ event, 2014.
Curiosity and the Cat is proudly setting up at this unique, once-a-year Christmas Craft Fair to help raise money for Over The Moon Charity.
I have been very busy making lots of teacup candles and handpainted signs in preparation. A CATC vintage teacup candle will be in the charity raffle so you never know, you could win one!
If you’re in Farnham on Wednesday evening, pop in! Everyone’s welcome! It’s the perfect way to start Christmas shopping with a glass of bubbles! Hopefully see you there…

Curiosity and the Cat had a wonderfully crazy day on Friday, getting set up at Bourne Mill Antiques and preparing for Saturday’s Farnham Maltings Market’s early start. So I went back to Bourne Mill Antiques on Sunday to double check I hadn’t dreamt the whole thing… luckily I hadn’t!
CATC now has a permanent space at this veritable treasure trove of a place, housing unique curiosities, handmade vintage teacup candles and hand-painted CATC designed signs.
If you’re local, it’s worth popping in to Bourne Mill Antiques to see if there are any unique Christmas presents in there worth snapping up! With over 70 dealers in there, you’ll be spoilt for choice.
I’m delighted to announce Curiosity and the Cat’s first market date, this Saturday! And it’s not just any market, it’s the Farnham Maltings Monthly Market.
One of the oldest and largest quality markets in Surrey and Hampshire, held on the first Saturday of every month, for over 40 years the market has drawn stall holders from all over the world. There are around 200 stalls to browse from crafts to collectables, from vintage finds to local food – an excellent way to spend a Saturday!”
So I’m very honored to be there this Saturday, 1st November. If you can make it, look for Curiosity and the Cat on the stage in the Great Hall 9.30am-4pm. The perfect place to start shopping for Christmas (sorry!).
